ADVENTURES

Looking forward to trying some new adventures? At Swingate Gardens you will be close to the Sandbanks Provincial Park where you can swim, soak up the sun or try out some of the water “toys” available for rent. We have many great wineries, art studios, live theater, drive in movie theater as well as a great choice of restaurants and fine dining, all within a few minutes drive of your “Home away from Home”

Take a break from the city and relax in our lovely country setting, whether it be for a weekend or a whole week. Maybe a weekend in the Spring and then come back in the Fall to check out the beautiful fall colours and abundant locally grown produce. All kinds of fresh vegetables, cheese and maple syrup all available just a few steps from your door.

Every Saturday during the summer we have a local Market close by where you can get produce, home baking, jams jellies and preserves as well as local handcrafted wood working as well as beautiful one of a kind knitted or crocheted items. The “County” has a lot of very talented people!

Perhaps it is a “Down home” style country fair you might be interested in? Mark the second Saturday of September on your calendar if that is the case. Plan to visit us for our one day event where you can enjoy many booths selling everything from hand knits, produce, pet supplies, home baking and preserves and many more things you only ever see at these rural events. We have games for “kids” of all ages including a tractor pull, log sawing and races for the younger ones. The fair starts with a parade where you never quite know what you are going to be entertained with.

We have all kinds of food available during the day from the food canteen and in the evening there is a supper in the town hall followed by the evenings entertainment. Lots of great music and local talent, some of which you may have heard on radio or TV as we do have several celebrities we are very proud of!
